This is an interesting idea - have people donate money for a Mac media setup, and then give it to one incredibly lucky random donator. There's been some similar stuff, like the buy me an ipod, etc., but this is the first where it's actually given away to someone at the end.
Just recently I've discovered a completely new phenomenon: the day of Macworld, my 12" PowerBook, to be 2 years old in April, suddenly slowed down. Since then, it's been acting slower and slower. It's as if it's reacting to its new obsolete status.
